The Tingvoll Lodge is situated 50 metres from the Verdal River and the Home pool and the whole Tingvoll fishing stretch is within walking distance from the Lodge. Due to very good co-operation with other beat owners, the maximum 6 guests (rods) staying at the Tingvoll Lodge have the opportunity to fish a total of around 9 kilometres very good fly waters during one week fishing. During a normal season, the total catches of these stretches are in the region of 240 - 280 salmon and the average weight is around 5.0 kilos (12lb).

The fishing

 
Tingvoll Lodge has around 2 kilometres private and exclusive double bank fishing on the main river string just outside the Lodge, below the Vuku village. It has over the years been one of the best beats on the river with around 80-90 salmon each season. The 'Home pool' area has both some beautiful fly fishing stretches as well as very good holding pools - securing available salmon throughout the season.

Due to very good co-operation with other beat owners, the maximum 6 guests (rods) staying at the Tingvoll Lodge have the opportunity to fish a total of around 9 kilometres very good fly waters during one week fishing. During a normal season, the total catches of these stretches are in the region of 240 - 280 salmon and the average weight is around 4.5kg (10lbs).

The accommodation
The lodge is situated 40 metres from the Home pool and the whole Tingvoll fishing stretch is within walking distance. The Lodge is a rebuilt and extended farm barn - typical for the area. The interior walls and ceiling are covered with broad timber planks/boards to create a traditional Norwegian house atmosphere. The lodge contains 4 bedrooms with twin beds (usable as single as well as twin room), 2 bathrooms/toilet areas, spacious sauna, combined (open solution) lounge/sitting group, dining area and kitchenette. It is all very stylish and professionally done by the farm’s owner, John – who is also recognised as one of the most outstanding hosts’ and guides in Central Norway.

The food arrangement is based on self-catering and the guest will have sufficient food for a couple of days in the fridge when they arrive.  To supplement this when necessary, a supermarket is only 5 minutes’ drive away at the Vuku village and the town of Verdal is 20 minutes away.  Verdal is a modern town which cover any necessities.

Travel
Tingvoll Lodge is located near the Vuku village, east of Verdal town.. It is in easy reach of Trondheim Airport by train service or car. There are daily direct flights, around 2 hours, from different UK and EU airports or via Oslo Airport and the most convenient flights can be booked on www.norwegian.com or www.sas.no  The Dutch Airline, KLM also services Trondheim Airport from Amsterdam.  The Tingvoll Lodge is around 60 minutes’ easy drive along E6 from Trondheim Airport. Car hire is recommended or pick up can be arranged at an agreed price.
